The trailer begins with the inspector briefing about Rakesh Mahadkar who is a serial killer who killed 18 girls 8 years ago. He then gives detail about a similar villain who is the talk of the town. The new villain pattern of crime involves the killing of women, who have one-sided lovers. There is a similarity between killers love story and one-sided love stories. The trailer then showcases the respective love stories of Disha Patani-John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor-Tara Sutaria. It is difficult to understand who the real villain of the story is since both John and Arjun are the heroes of their own tales. Another twist at the end of the trailer shows that Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani might as well be the real villains.
